What
is the like to work for Redline?
Future is a really good company to work for. They look after
me and the team much better than when I worked at Fast Car.
And although Bath's a cool place to live, we're always at
least two hours drive from anywhere which can be a bit of
a pain. And being an Essex boy, I'm always three hours from
'home'.
Are there any advantages to working for one of the
largest motoring magazines in the country?
Definitely. We get discounts or free parts for our cars. We
get our petrol and expenses paid when we go to shows and cruises.
We meet plenty of tasty birds. We've got a twin turbo Supra
and a Civic Coupe to smoke around in... I could go on all
day!
Is there anything we should look out for from Redline
in the future any giveaways, competitions etc?
We’ve got some pretty cool free stuff being given away
with the mag during the summer and some superb cars coming
up; a Nova on 20s for example. We’ll have a stand at
quite a few shows over the summer including the other Donny
shows and Trax. I can't give away too much as Max and Fast
will get scared!
Do you regularly attend cruises or every so often?
I personally get out to cruises about once every six weeks.
But we have someone from Redline and a photographer out at
cruises probably every other week.
How do you get Redline to attend a cruise?
We try to spread ourselves around the country as much as poss.
So if we hear of a big cruise developing in an area we’ve
not been to for a while, there’s a better chance of
getting us over there. We also try to avoid covering cruises
that other mags are attending, no one wants to see the same
thing in each mag.
What makes a cover car for Redline?
It's got to sum up what Redline is about. It's got to be the
sort of car that everyone would want to own or would really
blow people away and give them inspiration.
