The Carcept front and back bumpers were bought, and along with
the Cadamuro-Italy sideskirts, were sprayed to match the fiery
red paintwork, giving the Fiat some extra style and class. Whilst
this was being done, every possible piece of trim was colour-coded.
With
the Fiat looking so good on the outside, Alan knew the interior
needed attention. This came in the form of a full cream leather
retrim from a local firm, which incuded the door cards and dash.
This really sets the car off. Now
Alan was sitting nicely on that soft leather, some in-car goodies
were needed. In came The Car Audio Centre in Nottingham.
A Lanzar TFT LCD screen was duely purchased along with Lanzar
front components and 6x9s, and two Lanzar Vibe amps, to go with
a Panasonic DFX-700N head unit. Last but definitely not least
were the DBL Audio 12" Subs. All of this installed by Alan
himself, with the focal point being the boot install. A Pioneer
portable DVD player was also added to give some extra entertainment,
and certainly draws the crowds.
After
first having the subs in the one box, the bass wasnt enough
for Alan, so he inverted them so the baskets were on show. This
gave the extra bass Alan was after, whilst also showing off
the gorgeous chrome baskets of the subs. Next time you see this
car at a cruise, check out the boot. Blue and yellow neons combine
with the chrome to give an amazing effect. The
car was looking great, there were plenty of tunes to show off
at cruises, but there was still something missing. Out went
the measly 16" BKs, in came the brand new Dare's new alloy,
the D1, in 17s. These finished the car off superbly.
For
now Alan is happy with the car. It attracts plenty of attention
at every cruise he goes to, and upto now has been pictured six
times in various magazines, including a feature in last months
Revs. However, engine mods have been limited to a K&N
air filter and a Powerflow oval backbox.
But
Alan has big plans for his Italian baby. It might not be long
till we hear the familiar 'ptschhh' usually reserved to RS Turbos
and the like coming from under the bonnet of the Bravo. With
sixpot brakes waiting to be fitted, it's sure the Fiat looks
set to have the performance to match some of its Italian relatives......
