The police
presence, as in the past, was surprisingly relaxed, with the
Yorkshire police just keeping an overview of the evening from
a distance, with even some officers on foot checking out the
modified cars on display. And boy were there some quality
ones!
The sweetest CRX Del Sol we've ever seen from Kingdom Developments
was on show, along with Redline's new project car, a Honda
Civic Coupe on 19s. The most noise came from a buggy with
an awesome engine, which fired up at different points throughout
the night, forcing people to cover their ears! You could hear
this thing from anywhere on the car park.
After a few trips round the cruise, checking our the sweet
cars and the even sweeter ladies, the cruise began to wind
down and slowly the car park emptied, which in turn made room
for some action at last. Burnouts started to appear over the
car park, but the police still kept their distance.
At about 11.30 we made our way down to the original car park
for a bit of an after-cruise, and had a chat with the lads
from Cruiseboard, Cruiseit and Yorky from Yorkshirecruise.
The cruise was a great success and a big thanks need to go
to the organisers and all of the convoy leaders, and also
to everyone who attended. Also a shout out to the Yorkshire
Police force for taking such a relaxed approach to the cruise.
