After warming up and starting to get some feeling back, it
was time to have a chat with some familiar faces, and have
another look at the cars. The standard of cars during the
night was quite high, with a very nice
auto-equiss kitted 106, a smooth mk2 golf and a soft-top cameo
just to name a few, amongst all the usual scooby's and escorts.
There was one very complete and clean red mk4 escort, with
the interior mods to match the exterior. As per usual the
police were relaxed about the whole thing and just watched
from a distance. A few attempted burn outs but in the end
nothing really kicked off.
Slowly
but surely people started to make a move and the car park
emptied out, with rumours of some heading to Birchwood. We
decided to head into the centre for a McDonalds and a mooch
round. The centre was buzzing with modified cars, and after
our food we set off back to Rochdale.
All
in all it was a pretty good night. Everyone seemed to enjoy
theirselves and there was plenty of new cars in attendance,
along with the regulars. Thanks go out to Pug Luver and the
Lancashire Cruise Team for organising the night, to all the
convoy leaders, to everyone that came along, and Blackpool
police for being cool as usual. Couldn't you have a word with
the lads in Morecambe??
Rumours of Lancashire Cruise 2 are already flying around,
and if the attendance is as good as this one, it should be
a belter.
