The drinks flowed and the corny jokes started to flood out
of people's gobs, which at that point were extremely funny
(you know how it is!). The night ended with an idea of Sy's
to "greet" York at high volume which went down a treat.
The next morning, there weren't really any sore heads so the
arranging of the cars didn't take too long and once the gazebos
were in place (minus one which took off during the night)
the stand was ready, complete with CUK flag flying high.
The day as a whole was thoroughly enjoyable, the strip action
was superb and the weather held out nicely. A vast array of
cars attempted to thwart each other with their dazzling ¼
mile times including real dragsters and heavily modified road
cars such as Nissan Skylines and Audi S2s.
Well done to Chris (Rustage) for sorting
everything out, Henry for being our "tour guide" and York
Dragway for their hospitality. Superb job done!
