As we got onto the M4 a whole convoy of Imprezas came leathering it past us, on the way to Cardiff for the Super Special 3. We then came upon one of the rally Saxos, Janne Tuohino, who I don't think was all that impressed with a 1.6 Astra Mk4 [me] trying to tempt him into racing. After half an hour of us over taking each other and pushing the other up the motorway he decided that he would show me just how modified his Saxo was. He dropped it a cog and BANG shot a load of shit and flames out of his exhaust and all over my bonnet and then fcuked off…only to slam on the brakes 500 yards later as he nearly missed his junction.

So then it was off towards Oldham where we finally arrived home at 10:15. £50 of petrol used and 540 miles put on my car…but it was well worth it.

As long as the rally is still in this country next year then I will definitely be going…never know Peugeot UK might want to take us again ;o)

A big thanks to G for sorting this out and also to Peugeot UK for paying for everything and showing us some great hospitality. And finally a special thanks going out to "Big" Des. Making the day run smoothly, doing a hell of a lot of driving and even joining in with the jokes (including the day long running joke about Peugeot gearboxes) cheers mate!
