After meeting up with SupedUp boys at the entrance, we made
our way to their stand. It wasn’t until then that the
sheer size of the event became clear. There were just modified
motors everywhere! There must have been thousands of cars,
of what seemed like every make and model.
Our position
with SupedUp was right near to the pit lane, on concrete,
and next to the Belgium Auto Salon stand. Some of these cars
were simply gorgeous, with stunning interiors. The standard
of the cars at the entire show was extremely high as you’d
expect, but with so many there, it was going to be difficult
to see them all.
Walking round the show it was difficult to take it all in.
So much to look at, and talk about. The pit lane was home
to the magazine stands, as well as some of the major clubs
such as PGAC,
and traders like Courtenay. All of the major magazines were
there, each with impressive stands, and it was good to see
some familiar cars from the cruise scene on there too.
The massive infield was the home to the majority of the manufacturer
car clubs, and other cruise clubs, such as CRUISENORTHWEST.
Every owners' car club in existence appeared to have a stand,
which was great because there was so much diversity of cars.
Wherever you looked there was a line of Evo’s, then
a line of RX7’s, then a group of Vauxhalls, Pugs, Fords,
everyone was represented.
Throughout the day the track saw some quality action, again
with allsorts of cars, from Saxo’s to Supra’s,
Fiat’s to Ferrari’s, you name it, they were hammering
around the track all day. If that wasn’t enough for
you, there was the 0-60 sprint to keep you entertained, especially
when there was such a large run off area for people to play
in, which equalled donuts aplenty.
