After managing to get lost and split up a few times, we regrouped and arrived at Santa Pod raceway early afternoon. Luckily the rain had subsidied, but the fields had already taken a hammering and so it was pretty much a mudbath to begin with. The general camping area was already quite busy, and there was more people there than I imagined. The cars were arranged and the gazebo's and tents were erected, which in itself was quite a task!

We just had chance to check out some strip action before it closed for the day, but the conditions weren't great, and the track was still damp. As early evening approached, more people had arrived, and the atmosphere of the campsite had picked up, helped by the now following alcohol. We were based next to Cruise-South and opposite to JustCruizin, who we had a great time with over the weekend.

The area just infront of our section was particularly muddy, and this was just too much temptation for Joe who proceeded to tear up the field in his RB5, driving the scooby as it was meant to be driven. This was then followed by Mike in his Cossie 4x4, getting in some quality donut action. After this people from JC followed suit and before we knew a 'Donut Arena' was born!

As the lads from JC began to play in the mud, a few of them managed to get themselves incredibily dirty, so much so that they began to mudwrestle! After a while our very own 'Big Daz' (soon to become the infamous 'Shrek' lol) ripped off his shirt and headed towards one of the lads from JC. The look on the other lad was priceless as Daz picked him up and bodyslammed him into the ground! In the end however, the smaller guy won, and managed to pin down the mighty Daz! Well done my son!

After the antics had died down, more beers were drunk and there was a really good chilled atmosphere. Miss Moneypenny's were providing the live entertainment in the dance tent on the Friday, but the weather had turned the ground into a massive mudpit. Some of the group went back to the camp, whilst I took time to go see the lads from Cruiseboard, who had a joint stand in the 'Web Arena' with Speedcentral. They were to be joined by Girlracer, CruiseTime, 1stCruiseCambs and CruiseCars the following day.
