Wilmslow 5 was a great success and made the top levels of
the Max Power cruise table. This, coupled, with the fact that
this is number 6 meant we weren't going to miss this cruise!
With convoys organised from all over, the expectations were
high.
We made our way down to the main Wilmslow convoy point, which
was absolutely brimming with some highly modified motors,
from Renault 5 Turbo's to Scoobies. This convoy could have
been a cruise itself. The night was looking good.
After a chat with some familiar faces, horns started and we
set off to find the location, a multistorey car park. As we
approached the slip road all you could see were cruisers backed
up onto the motorway. With a bit of sneeky driving from Mike
we were soon at the car park entrance. The queue to get in
went from the entrance all the way back to the motorway! This
cruise wasn't going to be short of cars.
We parked up with some of the CruisinUK gang and had a chat.
Car after car seemed to be entering the multistorey. Then,
disaster. The police had blocked the entrance. In the distance
we could hear a familiar voice, unmistakable in fact, that
of Crazy Kayll. He and plenty others were on the other multistorey,
and so everyone piled out and into the that car park.
Here we got a chance to check out some of the cars, including
a very sweet flip coloured Mitsubishi FTO. However, it wasn't
long until the cops realised what was happening and came and
blocked this car park entrance too. Time for location number
3.
Having already heard that people had been making their way
to B&Q in Bury, we rounded up as many as possible and
headed down the M60, picking some that had been to Snipe Retail.
